This Chicken Licken Isometric Vector Art Project was commissioned by the Joe Public Advertising Agency in Johannesburg as assets for a short explanatory video.

Chicken Licken Isometric Store

As a new angle on an isometric artwork project , the agency required that the isometric be set at 15˚ as a departure from my usual 30˚. The effect was that the viewer can see more of the sides of the object being illustrated. Clever thinking if you ask me. It means that we can see more of the brand. The effect is very pleasing! I had expected it to look odd but it sits very comfortably and is very convincing. I am left wondering if the aren’t more applications I could use this technique for ?

The artwork is being used to populate a short movie explaining the Chicken Licken Oil Reclamation Initiative. Chicken Licken is a very unique franchise operation. I had the pleasure of refining and standardising the franchise corporate identity many years ago. Chicken Licken has always considered its target market. In an act of social responsibility Chicken Licken doesn’t discard its used cooking oil. The dirty cooking oil is stored in drums and transported to an oil recycling plant. There the oil is converted into oil for lighting and heating. Chicken Licken has developed bespoke Safety Lamps that are provided free of charge to township dwellers.
