Stratford Upon Avon is the town most closely associated with the famous author and playwright Shakespeare. He was born there, attended school, developed his talent, found love, married and raised a family in this beautiful English town. Stratford was his home when not in London presenting plays.
One of the most important buildings in Stratford is Shakespeare’s birthplace. It can be found on Henley Street. This restored historical artefact now acts as a living museum. Situated next to the more modern Shakespeare Museum building, it’s part of a larger historical campus which attracts thousands of visitors every month. It’s a busy place!
There are many other beautiful old buildings in Stratford Upon Avon that are also significant and valuable to our heritage. I would love to make isometric illustrations of each of them as a Stratford Isometric Series.
As a start I am currently creating the Holy Trinity Church, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and The Royal Shakespeare Company. There are more beautiful, interesting old buildings like Cox’sYard and the superb Old Clopton Bridge over the River Avon that I would love to try tackle. But more as it happens… 😀
It will be a real challenge, but I believe worth it. Watch this space!
While you’re waiting for the rest of this series, please consider exploring my other isometric and vector artwork?
