Sister Josephine is a song by Jake Thackray, a master storyteller and bard.
My good friend Norman asked me to create a series of cartoons for a musical presentation about this song. Norman is a radio presenter, and often shares interesting and entertaining items from the world of musical entertainment.
His latest project was a chat about the song “Sister Josephine” by Jake Thackray. A hilarious tale of a rather questionable nun.

Sister Josephine not only was not bothered by a load of Rozzers rocking up at the Convent to look for her. She simply lit a cigar & chilled with her feet up on the altar.

The nuns could not believe the news that Sister Josephine was in fact Big Bad Bernard, a notorious criminal. They argue that Sister Josephine is so tender towards the younger nuns. How could this be?

…come to think of it – she did shave more often than the other nuns…

…and enjoyed the Saint Benedictine a bit too much…

…and she did sleep through the daily prayers….

So the Coppers searched the entire Convent, even sniffed around every corner of the kitchen…

…and rifled through her unusual collection of foreign magazines…

The Rozzers thought they had her, but she got away…

…dressed only in her wimple and her rosary… What a funny Nun she was!
