Charlie Chaplin’s Little Tramp struck a chord for countless people all over the world. The character still resonates with society today. The Little Tramp is poignant, quirky and sweet. He had a moustache too and no collection of moustaches would be complete with The Little Tramp.
Charlie Chaplin wrote a song that seems to complement the Little Tramp character. It is beautifully sad and yet; hopeful. Just like The Little Tramp.
Tho’ your heart is aching
Even tho’ it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You’ll get by
Smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining thru for you.
Light up your face with gladness
Hide ev’ry trace of sadness
Altho’ a tear maybe ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
What’s the use of crying
You’ll find that life is still worth while”
Tom Selleck of Magum PI is almost today’s Movember moustache doodle.
So close but no cigar! What is it that makes a face distinguishable? This caricature of a younger Tom Selleck feels close but somehow not Tom Selleck. I shall have to try again sometime, but today is going to be a busy one so I must leave it like it is.
Guido’s Mum. One look at her explains why Guido did such awful things! Well, tried to do such awful things. I didn’t know where I was going on this one. It began as a matador, morphed into Rosy the Riveter and finally settled as Guido’s Mum. I though like all latino guys who want to look like their mothers she inspired him to grow a moustache – not only to sop up the last bits of paella, but as a useful disguised too! 😀
